seriously, one of the steepest learning curves at business school that i had to navigate last year was learning an entirely new dialect. coming from a science background, i thought i had newly fabricated words completely down (Drosophila melanogaster, y/y?), but apparently there was an entire sphere of the english language that i had yet to master. favorite new words included:
- utility... how can we maximize the utility of our 30 minute lunch "hour"?
- leverage... i'm going to leverage the hell out of that sweater.
- space... my analysis of a 1968 HBS case provides revolutionary, actionable recommendations centered around John Deere's aggressive expansion into the women's lingerie space. and Precious Moments ceramics.
