i grew a b-school vocabulary.

seriously, one of the steepest learning curves at business school that i had to navigate last year was learning an entirely new dialect. coming from a science background, i thought i had newly fabricated words completely down (Drosophila melanogaster, y/y?), but apparently there was an entire sphere of the english language that i had yet to master. favorite new words included:

  • utility... how can we maximize the utility of our 30 minute lunch "hour"?
  • leverage... i'm going to leverage the hell out of that sweater.
  • space... my analysis of a 1968 HBS case provides revolutionary, actionable recommendations centered around John Deere's aggressive expansion into the women's lingerie space. and Precious Moments ceramics.
when i heard about this, i only wish i had discovered it last year to help me better phrase my naive write-ups. there are definitely a lot of phrases tossed around school that would be considered bullshit by this generator. i adore it.
