when i was in MS/HS, the gap was the shit. seriously, i even coveted their $13.50 solid-colored, crewneck, long-sleeved t-shirts. but something went really wrong in their design department at the turn of this century and then they enlisted sjp to help them glam up their image. and though i ♥ the ads (she glows in the pretty in pink ones) who seriously has harry winston on speed dial for $$$$ brooches or can show their bra at work (on purpose)? because i may (not) want that job.
anyway this fall/winter, the gap has done a solid job returning to classics and suddenly, i'm buying stuff from them for the first time since 2002. literally. my student loan-driven bank account is extremely pleased. newly coveted items include:
